Week 1 of the AFL Finals series was unlike anything we have seen all year - the football was exhilarating and free flowing.
It was a true display of the best eight teams in the competition, and the four games were all unforgettable in their own rights.

Both semi-finals will be played in the Sunshine State, with any queries about the dew on the ground in Queensland at night put to rest last weekend when the Lion's and Tiger's put on a masterclass.

The winner of Richmond vs St Kilda will be departing Queensland and heading to Adelaide to take on minor premiers Port Adelaide in a preliminary final.
Both of these teams have played Port in South Australia this year with varying degrees of success. The Tigers fell short in a blockbuster clash while the Saints stamped their credentials when blasting the Power away.
The Pies and Cats are battling for a place in a preliminary final to take on what many consider the now premiership favourites Brisbane. Brisbane have been unbeatable at the Gabba this year and the winner of this preliminary final will need to buck the trend to make the Grand Final.
