The Supercoach season is upon us, and it's time to look into the players that Supercoach owners seem to be overlooking, and why picking some of these players could be the difference between having an average team and a quality one.
Of course there are popular picks across each position that should be locks for your team, including Jake Lloyd down back, midfielders Jack Macrae and Jack Steele, Max Gawn in the ruck, and forwards such as Josh Dunkley and Stephen Coniglio.
Although most owners will have these players who will consistently perform each week, it's the players that have low ownership whilst still scoring strongly who could have an even bigger impact on your team, and more importantly against your opponents.
Check out below to see some of the 'point of difference' players that owners should consider heading into the 2022 season.

Rucks
Nic Naitanui ($627,400) - 4% ownership
Most Supercoach owners have opted for either Max Gawn, Brodie Grundy or Sean Darcy for their ruck lineup in 2022 and with good reason, but a point of difference in this case would be Nic Naitanui.
The Eagles ruckmen is a dominant force, but is only in 4% of teams at the moment.
Nic Nat averaged 115.3 points per game last season across 22 games, and had over 100 points in 19 of the 22 games, he is as consistent and as dominant as any ruckman in the game.
His influence is noticeable in games, and he'll need to step up with all the injuries that the Eagles have suffered in the pre-season, which is even more reason to select him in your side.
The 31-year old has had his best two seasons in the past two years, and has had a clean run of health, which is something that has been his downfall and a key reason as to why he has such low ownership.
If Nic Nat can stay healthy, then he looks firms as a dangerous and left-field target for your ruck combo in 2022.
Rowan Marshall ($536,800) - 7% ownership
The Saints ruckman is another option that comes with risk due to his injury history, but his scoring potential is as good as anyone.
Marshall's ability to obtain disposals, tackles and hitouts makes him a dangerous option if he can stay healthy.
In 2019, Marshall averaged 110 Supercoach points per game which saw him collect 17.7 disposals, 3.5 tackles and 28.4 hitouts per game, so it is easy to see how good he can be in the competition.
Marshall has had a couple of injury-interrupted seasons despite averaging 100 and 98 in the respective 2020 and 2021 seasons, so even when he has a frustrating run with injury, he can still better.
At only 7% ownership, this is a great selection that could see Marshall's price skyrocket into the $600k range in no time.
