The 2023 trade period is officially open, with the nine-day exchange window set to see a host of players swap colours ahead of a new season.

All 18 clubs are likely to take part in at least one deal over the week-and-a-half, while some clubs firm as key players in several separate deals.

Free agency opened last Friday and will run for one week, with a trio of deals already over the line.

Below is our 2023 AFL trade guide, covering each club's potential and confirmed ins and outs, trade rumours, draft picks and more.

Carlton

The Blues have received trade requests from fringe pair Paddy Dow and Zac Fisher, who are looking to get to St Kilda and North Melbourne respectively. Neither deal will likely pocket Carlton a high-end draft pick, but one of those selections could be used in talks with Gold Coast as the Blues show an interest in Suns midfielder Elijah Hollands.
