Fremantle defender Darcy Tucker is reportedly being eyed off by Geelong ahead of the trade period.
According to a report from The West Australian's Braden Quartermaine, the Cats are waiting to pounce on out-of-contract Victorian as he is yet to be offered an extension by the Dockers.
This latest announcement comes in the wake of fellow statesman Adam Cerra officially requesting a trade to Carlton on Wednesday.
Given the pivot city side's interest in the 24-year-old, Tucker could become part of a trade package the allows Jordan Clark to wear a purple guernsey next season.
As of yet, Clark is yet to formally request a trade to the Cockburn-based club, but as he has already met with Fremantle powerbrokers during this off-season, an announcement appears imminent.
Tucker was originally taken with the 27th pick of the 2015 draft, but as his playing time has become stunted during Justin Longmuir's stint as the Dockers' head coach, a move back to his state of origin could see him recapture his past form.
The Horsham-born product has played 94 games for Fremantle, but only managed 16 appearances in 2021 despite overcoming his hamstring issues from the year prior.

Tucker's career best season came in 2019 when he played in every game and recorded average means of 19 disposals, 3.6 tackles and better than a rebound 50 per appearance from his laser like left foot.
Clark too has found it tough securing a senior spot with Geelong this season and only added 11 games to his total tally of 32 under the reign of Chris Scott.
Whether the pair of half-back flankers will trade places will be determined from Monday onwards when the AFL trade period officially commences.
