Paperwork officially lodged.
Carlton made an offer to Restricted Free Agent George Hewitt (Sydney Swans). The Sydney Swans are now in the three-day period where the club can decide whether to match the offer or not. The three-day period ends 4pm AEDT, Monday October 4.— AFL House (@AFL_House) October 1, 2021
Hewett is reportedly set to be on the end of a four-year offer from the Blues, falling close to $450,000 per season.
The 25-year-old has played 120 games in the red and white since making his debut in 2016, playing across multiple lines under senior coach John Longmire.
Hewett is likely to fall to the Blues despite the Swans' rights to match the offer, joining a promising engine room at Ikon Park.
