Yet another key Bomber looks set to depart as the club prepares for a significant list makeover this off-season.

Just 12 months after he was linked to a move back to South Australia, gun forward Orazio Fantasia's trade request is imminent.

Despite being contracted to the Bombers until the end of next year, a move to one of the two South Australian clubs looms in the upcoming November window.

Speaking on SENโ€™s Bob and Andy, Essendon GM of Football Dan Richardson detailed how Fantasia has been dealing with homesickness.

โ€œHe hasnโ€™t requested a trade. He has expressed periods of homesickness and heโ€™s certainly got a very close connection family wise back in Adelaide," Richardson said.

โ€œIf there was a request forthcoming for him to want to return there, then I donโ€™t think that would be a surprise, but weโ€™ll cross that bridge when it comes to it."

The 25-year old was restricted to just five games in 2020 due to a quad injury.

It comes after Adam Saad and Joe Daniher earlier this week both expressed their desire to depart Essendon in the off-season.

Last month Irishman Conor McKenna announced his retirement to return home.
