Carlton list boss Nick Austin has confirmed that Lochie O'Brien will be at Carlton in 2021.
In recent days, rumours swirled linking the 21-year-old to a move to Collingwood ahead of the Trade Period deadline.
Austin spoke on AFL Trade Radio, saying the Blues have categorically ruled out the club trading the former top-10 draft pick.
โThereโs a lot of speculation that goes along during this period and this is one of those,โ he said.
โI can categorically say that Lochie OโBrien will be a Carlton player in 2021 and weโre really excited for him to have a big pre-season.
โI know Lochie would have wanted to play more senior footy this year, but hopefully he can have a big pre-season and work his way back into calculations.
โI think itโs a great thing for our footy club that we have depth in some key roles in the square and inside.
โLochie will be a Carlton player in 2021.โ
OโBrien managed just one game this season and is contracted until the end of 2021.
