Wantaway Swan Jordan Dawson is understood to have toured the Crows' training facilities this week as he weighs up a move back to South Australia.
The Robe product requested a trade back to his home state last Friday, with the Swans and their gun midfielder unable to find agreed terms on a new deal past 2021.
The Power and Crows are both keen on luring the 24-year-old to their respective clubs, with Adelaide getting the "first crack" at Dawson after the utility toured West Lakes.
9 News reporter Tom Rehn revealed on Thursday that Dawson had ventured to Adelaide and held a medical with the Crows, with Adelaide great and club football director Mark Ricciuto playing a key role in the process.
“He’s toured the facilities at West Lakes today and we understand he’s also had a medical,” he said.
“The Crows tonight are certainly hopeful of securing his signature, a lot though to still play out. Port Adelaide no doubt also in the mix, they’ll push their case in the coming days.
“(Crows great and football director) Mark Ricciuto, one of his favourite players growing up, has played a part, so that could be important. The Crows now hoping that that impression today is a lasting one.”
The Power confirmed their interest in Dawson earlier this week, with football boss Chris Davies expressing his club have "extreme interest" in the former Kingston local.
“Any South Australian player wanting to come home is someone we need to do our due diligence on," Davies told media on Wednesday.
“He’s had a great year and if he wants to come to our club that would be fantastic.
