Sam Petrevski-Seton has reportedly told Carlton of his desire to be traded to the West Coast Eagles, per AFL Media's Riley Beveridge.
Beveridge initially tweeted that the 23-year-old was keen to play for either side located in Perth, but updated his findings five-minutes later by claiming that Petrevski-Seton would prefer to be an Eagle rather than a Docker next season.
Reports also claim that the Halls Creek product had opted for a move to West Coast after rebuking offers from several Victorian clubs, including Essendon.
Carlton's head of football Brad Lloyd his since confirmed Beveridge's report by stating that: "Sam has officially requested a trade: we will now work with the West Coast Eagles Football Club and Sam’s management to finalise the deal.”
Should the out-of-contract 94-gamer get his way, the Blues will be forced to find other avenues to deliver Adam Cerra to Royal Parade.
Despite being selected with the 6th pick of the 2016 draft, the Western Australian native's value on the market is tough to gauge given his average of just 14 disposals across 14 games this season.
However, the Eagles hold picks 10, 29, 36, 49 and 65 at this year's draft, so there is a range of options available to satisfy Carlton's tastes.
Petrevski-Seton has found it tough to consolidate a position within the Blues' starting-22 across his five-seasons at Princes Park, with his case not aided by the fact that his role has changed on a myriad of occasions.
