Talks between Jed Anderson and the Kangaroos on a new deal are โ€œa fair way apartโ€, reports SENโ€™s Sam Edmund.

Anderson finished third in the clubโ€™s best and fairest count after averaging 21 disposals, five tackles, four clearances and four inside 50s per game in a career-best season in 2020.

North announced 11 delistings at season's end, however, there has never been any fear of the Kangaroosโ€™ commitment in keeping Anderson on their list.

โ€œThere have been a few whispers around about Jed Anderson, because the contractโ€™s been in place for him to sign at North Melbourne and he hasnโ€™t signed it,โ€ Edmund toldย Whateley.

โ€œIโ€™m told (on Tuesday) that the two parties are a fair way apart when it comes to a new deal.

โ€œTheyโ€™re working through it, is the official description of it, but thereโ€™s plenty of work to do at the moment.

โ€œWill another club swoop? Absolutely they could.โ€

Rumours swirled that Carlton could be looking to add Anderson their midfield stocks, however, Fox Sportsย reports that he is not on their radar.
