Western Bulldogs star Lachie Hunter has been linked to a move away from the kennel for the second time this season, as a potential departure "may not be out of the question".
Coach Luke Beveridge denied any speculation surrounding his gun midfielder following journalist Caroline Wilson's report in August that the contracted Bulldog had a torn relationship with the club.
However, it is now believed that the exit at Whitten Oval could be an option for the 26-year-old, according to SEN's Andy Maher.
“He (Hunter) is contracted until 2024 but I’m told that it may not be out of the question,” he said on SEN’s Bob and Andy.
“I think the suggestion is that another big bloke, maybe a tall defender, would be handy and maybe someone up the other end at ground level might be pretty handy as well.
“One way to do that is perhaps see if we can flush something out with a top-end talent like Lachie Hunter, if there’s room on both sides of the equation for change.
“If he’s available there would be suitors coming at him left, right and centre at a rate of knots.”
Hunter is contracted to the Bulldogs until 2024 and enjoyed a stellar 2020 season under Beveridge.
