North Melbourne midfielder Trent Dumont is "unlikely" to remain at the Kangaroos as he searches for a contract beyond 2021, according to The Herald Sun.
The 26-year-old, who is an unrestricted free agent, managed only 14 games this season after returning from a calf injury in Round 9.

Dumont has played 113 games for North Melbourne over his seven seasons at the club, finishing top-five in the club's best-and-fairest in 2019 and 2020.
However, the acquisition of Jaidyn Stephenson and the rise of youngsters Jy Simpkin, Tarryn Thomas and Luke Davies-Uniacke has pushed Dumont down in the midfield pecking order.
Essendon reportedly have shown mild interest in the former South Australian, although neither club from his home state is believed to make their move for the Kangaroo.
Dumont is among four North Melbourne players out-of-contract and is reportedly yet to let his intentions be known to the club.
Veteran Shaun Atley, back up tall Tom Campbell and mid-season draftee Charlie Ham also face uncertain futures at Arden St with the club yet to extend their contracts past 2021.
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Robbie Tarrant is poised to sign a two-year deal at Richmond after 14 seasons in the blue and white, while the Kangaroos will welcome cut Crow Tom Lynch to their club in a coaching capacity.
North Melbourne are also set to acquire exciting Tigers forward Callum Coleman-Jones via the upcoming trade window.
