Gun Swans defender Jordan Dawson has reassured Sydney fans that his future likely lies in the Harbour City.

Dawson, a South Australian product, has been previously linked to a return to his home state as he remains unsigned for the 2022 season.

The 24-year-old has been a key role player down back for the Swans since making his debut in the red and white in 2017.

The versatile Swan has since gone on to feature under coach John Longmire on 56 occasions across several defence, forward and midfield.

An impressive past couple of seasons are sure to have gauged the attention interested rivals, with the Crows and a number of Victorian clubs reportedly showing some interest in the past.

However, recently speaking onย SEN, Dawson stated that Swans fans will not need to worry when it comes to his future with the club, revealing talks are underway for a new deal.

โ€œIโ€™m working with the club and my manager as well,โ€ Dawson said.

โ€œI donโ€™t think Sydney fans should be nervous at all.

โ€œIโ€™m just trying to play good footy and the group weโ€™ve got, itโ€™s really exciting.

โ€œThe way weโ€™ve performed against the top teams this year, itโ€™s been exciting. Hopefully we keep this form up throughout the rest of the year.โ€
