Stringer reportedly knocks back Bombers offer

Jake Stringerย has knocked back a new deal fromย Essendon, as per a report fromย Fox Footyโ€™sย Tom Morris.

Stringer, who remains uncontracted beyond this season, reportedly knocked back a three-year deal that included additional incentives. The 27-year-old has reportedly been seeking a four-year deal, which would see him through until 2025.

Essendonย are understood to have pulled out of the race for Greater Westernย Sydneyย midfielder Josh Kelly.

The Bombers are one of several Victorian clubs tipped to have shown interest in the 26-year-old, who is a restricted free agent in 2021.
