Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes believes Power defender Jarrod Lienert should be looking at new options at season's end.

Lienert, 26, was drafted by the Power as a rookie in 2016, but has only featuredย in 23 games in his AFL career so far.

After signing a one-year deal at the end of last season, Lienert has found it tough yet again to consistently crack into a strong Portย Adelaideย team in 2021.

The Lions are reportedly among a number of AFL clubs that are keeping tabs on Greater Western Sydneyย tallย Kieren Briggs.

As reported byย The Herald Sun,ย Briggs has impressed rival suitors in his three matches this year following his debut in Round 9.

Blues named as fitting match for Hawks star

Former Saint Leigh Montagna has suggested Carlton as a fitting suitor for star Hawk Tom Mitchell.

Mitchell is contracted until the conclusion of the 2023 season, however has been linked to reportedly being open to departing Hawthorn in favour of a crosstown rival.

Bomber facing nervous wait on future

Bombers utility Matt Guelfi is understood to be playing for his future, with the hard-nosed 23-year-old having to wait on the offer of a contract extension.

Despite earning more game time this season,ย Cal Twomey has told AFL.com.auย thatย Essendonย is unlikely to offer Guelfi a contract before the end of the year.

Suns linked to in-form Dockers tall

Legendary Bombers forward Matthew Lloyd has urged the Suns to take caution when moving for Dockers ruckย Rory Lobb.

Lobb moved from Greater Western Sydney at the end of the 2018 season and is enjoying one of the best years of his career in 2021.

However, there has been talk in recent times over Lobb's future, with reports claiming that the remainder of his career could lie away from Fremantle.ย

Suns enters race for in-form Saints midfielder

Gold Coast have emerged as a side showing interest in out-of-contract Saints onballer Luke Dunstan, according toย AFL Media'sย Cal Twomey.

Dunstan has thrived in his return to senior level after a dominant start to 2021 with St Kilda's VFL affiliate Sandringham.

Saints free agent Jack Billings is reportedly keen on staying at Moorabbin, as discussions on a new contract get underway.

The 25-year-old's inclination to stay has been reciprocated, with Sy Kilda also showing a desire to retain Billings, according to AFL.com.au's Cal Twomey.

Star free agent tabled contract offer

Adelaide have reportedly put offered free agent Matt Crouch a contract extension.

As reported byย AFL.com.au,ย the Crows are looking to re-sign the midfielder past the 2021, with a tabled deal estimated to be as long as a three-year extension.

Gun Crow to be patient in contract talks

Crows defender Jake Kelly has revealed he is happy to wait on a new deal with the club, however discussions are underway.

Kelly, the son of formerย Collingwood champion Craig, remains yet to recommit past this season as football is placed as a main focus for the 26-year-old.

Out of contract Bombers forward Cale Hooker will have a major decision to mate at season's end, with Essendon coach Ben Rutten remaining undecided on the spearhead's future.
