Hawthorn has emerged as a "serious contender" for Demons ruckman Braydon Preuss, according to AFL Media'sΒ Marc McGowan.
The 25-year old is set to land at his third AFL club this off-season in search of more senior opportunities.
Preuss has played 10 games over the last two seasons, including just three senior appearances in 2020.
Already playing behind Max Gawn, Preuss slipped being the Demons' third-choice ruckman after the club drafted Luke Jackson with Pick 2.
The Sydney Swans and GWS Giants have also been linked to the big man - who is contracted for another two seasons.
The Swans are considering making a play for Eagles ruckman Tom Hickey, who is contracted until the end of 2021.
The Hawks are weighing up their ruck situation after extending Jon Ceglar's contract for another three seasons and moving Ben McEvoy into defence.
