Essendon great Tim Watson believes Hawthorn won't look to move for gettable Magpies wingman Tom Phillips.
Phillips joins teammates Adam Treloar and Jaidyn Stephenson as being up for grabs for rival clubs, with the 24-year-old linked to the Hawks last week.
Phillips played 15 games in 2020 and remains contracted with Collingwood for the 2021 season.
Speaking on SEN Breakfast, Watson believes Phillips' high salary and the Magpies' reported interest in Hawks forward Jack Gunston could prevent the deal.
“Hawthorn won’t be interested in Collingwood’s Phillips at that sort of money,” he said.
“He’s on $550,000 a year, but the Pies are still sniffing around Jack Gunston so keep an eye on that.”
