Fremantle's Sam Switkowski has been handed a two-game suspension for his 'chicken wing' tackle on Collingwood forward Jack Ginnivan.
On Tuesday evening Switkoswki fronted the AFL Tribunal for his charge of serious misconduct, an offence the 25-year-old pled guilty to.
The incident in question occurred during the final term of Sunday's match between the Dockers and Magpies, with Switkowki seen pinning Ginnivan's left arm behind his back after making a tackle on the Collingwood youngster.
The Match Review Officer directed the incident directly to the AFL Tribunal as part of the review charges sheet from Sunday's matches, with Switkoswki forced to face league representatives.
AFL's legal counsel Andrew Woods stated in the hearing that "a starting point of two weeks be contemplated", while Switkowski's representatives urged a "substantial fine" be handed down as punishment.
After deliberating, the AFL counsel confirmed a two-week suspension matched the punishment for Switkoswki's actions.
The suspension will see Switkowski miss coming matches against Melbourne and Brisbane, with an expected return to come against Hawthorn in Round 13.
