Richmond's Dustin Martin has won back-to-back AFL Players' Association MVP awards after taking out the title for July.
The 26-year-old racked up 36% of the players' vote, beating out Hawthorn's Tom Mitchell (25%) and North Melbourne's Ben Brown (18%).
With matches against St Kilda, Brisbane, GWS and Gold Coast in the month of July, Martin averaged 31 disposals, 8.25 inside 50s and 9.25 clearances per game, as well as kicking five goals.
“Martin has been one of the most outstanding players so far this season, and it has been his consistency that has been most impressive. The fact that he’s been nominated for this award every month is proof of that,” AFLPA president Matthew Pavlich told aflplayers.com.au.
“It’s of little wonder that clubs are so keen to secure his signature.”
Martin joins Rory Sloane (March/April) and Josh Kelly (May) as winners of the award, with the trio now automatically nominated for the end of season AFL Players' Association MVP award.
