AFL players have seen their salary's slashed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the league placed under financial strain due to the current climate that is 2020.
The AFLPA agreed to an estimated 28 per cent cut to help save the AFL's current campaign and continue to play on amid the coronavirus.
According to the Herald Sun, players such like Taylor Adams and Michael Walters were set to earn upwards of $650,000 in 2020, but with the season's cuts, these stars are looking at figures below $500,000 this season.
Collectively, the top 100 paid stars of our league are set to be announced, with the first 50 names having been revealed by the Herald Sun on Saturday.
The list includes quite a few surprises, with Collingwood star Brodie Grundy sitting at 100 on the list, while Gold Coast's Peter Wright claims 81st whilst yet to feature for the Suns this season.
