Official membership numbers for the AFLW competition have been announced, with season seven setting a new all-time record with 75,568 total club members.
In their first season in the competition, Sydney have topped the membership tally with 7,757 total members, while Adelaide follow close behind in second position with 6,706.
The Suns sit last on the membership board with 1,194 signed up in season seven, while the 15th ranked Tigers have the lowest figures of the Victorian based teams.
The announcement of the record figures come ahead of Sunday's grand final between Brisbane and Melbourne, set to be played at Brighton Homes Arena.
AFL EGM Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers said the record numbers were reflective of the growth of the competition after a strong 2022 which saw two seasons played and four new teams introduced.
โIt has truly been a unique year โ two seasons, a new CBA, four new clubs, we took matches to places we have never been before and with it came new fans, more members and more people engaged in our competition than ever before,โ Rogers said.
โWe have a great, great competition, one that is going from strength to strength and on behalf of the AFL we thank every single person that watched, attended, and bought a membership to support their club.
โThe passion for AFLW on and off the field is unmatched in national women's sport competitions across the country. This passion is a powerful tool, and we must continue to harness it for good and celebrate the difference, the uniqueness and the joy that is AFLW football.
โSunday's NAB AFLW Grand Final, at the brand new and best purpose-built facility in Queensland is a fitting way to cap off a wonderful year. A finale for the season, a debut for the ground and without doubt the two best teams all season vying for the Premiership.โ
