The 2021 Women's AFL Grand Final pre-match entertainment has been locked in, with Australian artist G Flip set to perform prior to the match this coming Saturday.
G Flip, or Georgia Flipo, has established herself as one of the premier Australian indie artists, with hits such as 'Drink Too Much', 'Killing My Time' and 'About You' earning her acclaim at home and overseas.
This is the second time entertainment has been booked for the event, with fellow Australian indie-pop star Amy Shark performing at the 2019 AFLW Grand Final at the same venue.
Speaking to the AFLW, Flipo spoke about her love for football.
"It's such a privilege and an honour to be playing at the 2021 NAB AFLW Grand Final," she said.
"I don't just like footy, I love footy. This will be one of the highlights of my life, I'm very excited."
The match will see the Crows go up against the Lions in front of what is tipped to be a packed out Adelaide Oval.
The first bounce will be at 2.00pm AEST/1.30pm Adelaide time, with the Crows going in as favourites.
AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial Kylie Rogers exclaimed how pleased she was to have such a renowned Aussie artist at the forefront of the premier event in women's football.
"Football fans have already experienced some incredible AFLW action this season, so I'm sure the battle between Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions will cap off a terrific year of elite women's football.
"Australians have been starved of attending live music since the global pandemic began, so we hope to see as many G Flip and football fans secure their seat at the NAB AFLW Grand Final and fill the stadium in celebration of women's football."
