Friday's AFL grand final rematch has been forced to relocate from Norwood Oval due to the condition of the playing surface, with the Crows-Demons season opener now set to be held at Glenelg Oval.
Adelaide confirmed the change just four days out from the Round 1 blockbuster, which will see the Crows begin their premiership defence.
“Recent heavy rains have made for challenging circumstances at ovals across suburban Adelaide,” Crows' Women's football boss Phil Harper said.
“We worked closely with the AFL to find a suitable playing surface and after inspecting and considering several locations, we decided on Glenelg Oval.
“It is a great venue and we urge as many of our Members and supporters as possible, along with footy fans in general, to get along and see a great game of footy.”
Fans who have already purchased tickets for the game will still be able to use their existing tickets for entry.
The Demons will be seeking revenge after Adelaide's 13-point flag-clinching win in April to claim the season six premiership.
Teams for both sides will be confirmed later this week.
The match is scheduled for 7:10pm on Friday night.
