The AFL has confirmed that the upcoming AFLW practice matches will be free to attend for all fans as the competition ramps up toward Season 9.
Running from Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18, women's teams will get a much-needed pre-season hit-out before the campaign starts two weeks later.
All 18 clubs will also get a match-simulation run the week prior to the practice matches.
It'll be an opportunity to see how the teams have fared over the off-season while noticing 41 players in new colours.
Practice matches will be live-streamed on club websites.

AFL GM of Football Laura Kane said she was looking forward to the upcoming Practice Matches and Match Simulation Trainings.
โThe AFL are really excited for the upcoming 2024 NAB AFLW Season," Kane said.
"A lot of work has gone into preparing for this season and anticipation is sky-high. I can't wait to see my first glimpse of the competition before the opening week at the end of August.

Match Simulation Training will occur across August 9-11, where the trainings are facilitated by clubs.
