Alex Rance's comeback has long been rumoured in chats at the pub or in Whatsapp groups.
And now it's finally happening! Well, for one game at least. The retired Tigers great is coming out of retirement to play for Seymour in Victoria's Goulburn Valley Football League, per SEN's Sam Edmund.

At 31 years of age, Rance will no doubt be giving his opposition some sleepless nights as he prepares to line up as a key forward for Seymour in their home game against Mooroopna at Kings Park.
Through a link to the club via Ben Clifton, who work for Rance's education program The Academy and who is also Captain of Seymour, the former Tiger has stepped in to replace tall Kyle Winter-Irving after he went down with a season-ending ankle injury.
Despite a long queue of AFL clubs lining up for his services, Rance has turned his back on a return to the highest level, preferring to focus on life off the field.

The game for Seymour won't be the only one he plays however, with plans in place for Rance to turn out for C-Grade side Swan Valley in his home state of Western Australia, where their playing coach is his cousin David Ellard.
