Young Allies star Ryley Sanders has claimed the 2023 Larke Medal, awarded to the best and fairest player of the U18 Boys National Championships.
The 18-year-old Sanders, who hails from Tasmania, averaged 35.5 disposals per match and kicked four total majors as his Allies won their maiden title at the Championships.
The Tasmanian plays with the Sandringham Dragons in the Coates Talent League having relocated to Victoria in 2022.
The next-closest Larke Medal poller to Sanders (25 votes) was his Allies teammate and fellow Tasmanian Colby McKercher, who polled 20 votes of his own.
Previous winners of the honour include Brisbane Lions father-son midfielder Will Ashcroft, who won in 2022, as well as the likes of Christian Petracca, Tom Hawkins, Sam Walsh, Lachie Whitfield, and Oscar Allen.
The 2023 U18 National Championships concluded on Sunday, with Victoria Country defeating Victoria Metro by 31 points at IKON Park in the final match.
Country's Harley Reid, who projects as the number one overall selection at this year's National Draft, notched 24 disposals and 11 clearances on Sunday.
This year's draft is set to take place in late November.
