Collingwood's Trent Bianco will make his AFL debut in Saturday's clash against Geelong.
The Magpies on Thursday confirmed that the 20-year old has gotten the call up to face the Cats, having impressed in the VFL in recent weeks.
Bianco, a life-long Collingwood fan, was drafted to the club out of the Oakleigh Chargers with Pick 45 in the 2019 AFL Draft.
The youngster told the club website he was thrilled to finally get his chance.
“It’s still sinking in but I’m excited to finally get out there, contribute and play my role for the team," Bianco told collingwoodfc.com.au.
“I’ve worked really hard for this opportunity and I’m going to give it my best shot come Saturday.”
Bianco joins Oliver Henry, Beau McCreery, Finlay Macrae, Jay Rantall, Caleb Poulter and Tom Wilson as Collingwood’s debutants in 2021.
The Magpies face the Cats at the MCG this Saturday at 1.45pm AEST in a game that will be played in front of no crowd following the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria, forcing a seven-day circuit-breaker lockdown.
