Are the Blues the real deal?

The lid is well and truly off down on Lygon Street in Carlton, and with good reason, as the Blues sit unbeaten from four games, with tight wins over the Lions, Tigers, and Dockers to go alongside a decisive victory over the disappointing Kangaroos.

But are Carlton legitimate premiership contenders in 2024?

"They certainly are," says Zero Hanger editor, Mitch Keating.

"The Blues, certainly the real deal, and, at the moment, my premiership tip."

Carlton currently sit in 4th spot on the 2024 AFL Ladder and are one of three unbeaten teams with Geelong and GWS Giants. Melbourne and Sydney also have four wins but each have a notch in the loss column, having played an extra game due to their participation in Opening Round.
