While the AFL had some interesting results, some surprises and some annihilations, we will take a look at how all the reserves went around the country, and who is looking to earn a spot back in the senior side.
Peel Thunder 7.6.48 def by. Subiaco 21.14.140
Former Sun Harley Bennell got through his second consecutive from a calf injury, albeit a quiet game for the Thunder in their 92-point defeat to Subiaco.
Bennell had eight touches, and a goal, while fellow Docker Stefan Giro was Peel's best, gathering 27 touches, nine tackles and kicking a major.
Shane Kersten performed steadily in a new role in defence, gathering 19 touches in what was a busy day for the Thunder's back six.
East Perth 8.5.53 def by. South Fremantle 18.13.121
It was a short game for Eagles veteran Will Schofield, who left the game in the first quarter with a hamstring issue and didn't return, as East Perth went down by 78 points.
Young midfielder, Brayden Ainsworth, was busy all day gathering 27 touches and two goals, while Jackson Nelson (19 touches) and Matthew Allen (21) were busy in a disappointing day.
Canberra 18.17.125 def. GWS Giants 11.8.74
In what was a limited opportunity for the Giants' forwards against Canberra, dropped forward Jonathan Patton was busy, kicking three and working his form up to return to the senior side.

Daniel Robinson was prolific in his omission from the senior side, collecting a game-high 40 disposals, as well as 10 marks.
Nic Newman was also influential, gathering 34 touches and two goals, as was Robbie Fox [31 possessions], Dean Towers [29] and Colin O'Riordan [29 and 11 marks].
Allir Allir continued his strong form being used around the ground, with 21 touches and a goal in the Swan's dominating display.
NT Thunder 17.13.115 def. Gold Coast Suns 11.12.78
Former Docker Michael Barlow will have to wait another week to earn a recall, after his stellar 41 disposal and one goal performance in their loss to NT Thunder.
Kade Kolodjashnij was also strong for the Suns, having 32 touches and 14 marks, while rookie Jacob Dawson had 31 possessions.
Redland 13.3.81 def by. Brisbane Lions 22.15.147

Essendon 13.13.91 def. Geelong 12.12.84
Senior Coach John Worsfold made a statement last week, sending Darcy Parish, as well as Ben McNiece back to the reserves this week, and they responded as well as he would've liked.
Parish had 32 possessions, while McNiece was busy all day off the half back line as they look to earn a recall to the senior side. Versatile utility, Mitch Brown bagged three, while small-forward, Josh Green also had three.
For the Cats, duo Rhys Stanley and Wylie Buzza had seven between them while fellow bigman, Ryan Abbott also performed well and hit the scoreboard in a nail-biting loss to the Bombers.

Live-wire small-forward Daniel Rioli made a successful return to football after his ankle injury in the Grand Final last year, playing just the first half of his side's 65-point victory.
Shai Bolton looked lively early on, before a corked quad ended his day prematurely in the third quarter. There were good performances, without any real standouts for the Tigers, with the likes of Connor Menadue, Oleg Markov, Tyson Stengle and Corey Ellis all playing an important role for their side.
For the Zebras, luckless midfielder Nathan Freeman, got injured in just his third game back from hamstring tightness, this time injuring the AC joint in his shoulder in the first quarter.
In more positive news, half-back flanker Brandon White collected 33 touches and will look to return to the senior side this week against Richmond at the MCG.

Werribee 11.10.76 def by. Footscray 13.6.84
Veteran defender Dale Morris' return from injury was a success, running out the full game on the weekend, with no signs of any niggles from his ACL injury from February.
Josh Schache looks close to being in the senior side, booting another three goals, while Shane Biggs, Lin Jong and Tim English were all influential in their side's eight-point victory.
