Delisted Carlton player Jack Martin has reportedly chosen Geelong as his next club, with the small forward now set to join the Cats as a delisted free agent.

Martin was axed by the Blues after an injury-hit five seasons at Princes Park, where the 29-year-old played 54 games to bring his career tally to 151 AFL matches.

The exciting attacker started his career with the Gold Coast Suns and played 97 matches in Queensland before seeking a switch to Carlton at the end of the 2019 season.

Martin could only conjure three games in 2024 due to multiple soft-tissue setbacks, spelling an end to his career in the navy blue.

Hitting delisted free agency and open to exploring opportunities elsewhere, Martin has not been short on suitors as Geelong, Fremantle and clubs from Queensland also expressed an interest.

While weighing up a potential return to his home state of Western Australia, the Broome product has decided to remain in Victoria and is set to sign with Geelong, per 7 News' Mitch Cleary.

The decision will see Martin hope to get his body right in time for the start of the 2025 season, with the Cats having a known history of aiding previously hampered players back to peak fitness and form.

Geelong have an opening in their front half going forward after deciding against re-signing premiership forward Gary Rohan for 2025. Rohan is one of nine players to have already left Kardinia Park this off-season, with Phoenix Foster (delisted), Mitch Hardie (delisted), Tom Hawkins (retired), Emerson Jeka (delisted), Oscar Murdoch (delisted), Brandan Parfitt (delisted), Zach Tuohy (retired) and James Willis (delisted) also exiting.
