Adelaide small forward Josh Rachele will line up for the Crows' SANFL side after being spectacularly axed from the senior team following last weekend's Showdown loss.

It will be Rachele's second game in the SANFL since joining Adelaide in the 2021 National Draft, having previously suited up against Woodville-West Torrens in Round 17, 2022.

The Crows will also regain tall forward/ruckman Elliott Himmelberg for the crunch clash against Sturt but will lose James Borlase, Billy Dowling and Chayce Jones to AFL selection, while Brayden Cook will miss with a foot injury.

Lachie Gollant, Charlie Edwards and Oscar Ryan have been named as AFL emergencies and could be available for SANFL duties.

Elsewhere around the league, Norwood has suffered a huge setback ahead of their all-important clash with Woodville-West Torrens, with star forward Jackson Callow sidelined with a knee injury.

Utility Declan Hamilton will also miss with an ankle, with Jayden Gale, Alex Van Wyk, Goy Lok, Tom Graham, and Isaac Saywell called up to an extended bench following good stints in the reserves.

The Eagles have also rewarded several strong performers from the reserves, with Zac Buck, Josh Mawson, Troy Menzel, Jordan Moore and Jack Wheare all included on an extended bench.

Hayden Kernahan and Scott Bedford have been named on the extended bench, along with Benny Barrett and Dayne McGary, who are in line to make their league debuts.

North Adelaide have been forced into several big changes for this weekend's clash with West Adelaide following yet more injury carnage at Prospect.

Star midfielder Campbell Combe (concussion) and ruckman Matt McKenzie (ankle) will miss with injuries sustained in the loss to Norwood, while Nigel Lockyer (toe) and Keenan Ramsey (hamstring) will also be sidelined.

Young guns Will Tasker and Angus Tully are slated to make their club debuts, forward Noah Casalini has earned a reprieve, while father-son prospect Will Francou and ruckman Liam Hoy have been included on the extended bench.

The Bloods will regain big man Riley Corbett from a shoulder injury and important key defender Liam Delahunty from a back issue, while Michael Laudato and Josh Gore will both be unavailable.
