Delisted Collingwood midfielder Jack Bytel has signed with VFL club Coburg Lions.
Bytel joins the Lions following a 12-month stint at the Pies, playing seven games in 2024.
The Calder Cannons product also spent time at St Kilda, where he was originally drafted in 2018 with Pick 41.
Bytel had impressed Collingwood but found himself on the outer as they welcomed Dan Houston and Harry Perryman to help bolster the list.
Coburg - one of few standalone clubs in the VFL - announced the news on Wednesday night.
"We're excited to announce a major addition to the Coburg family, with Jack Bytel joining us for the 2025 season," the statement said.
"Jack brings a wealth of talent and experience from his time with St Kilda and Collingwood.
"Enhancing our midfield with his versatility and skill across various roles through the centre of the ground."
Lions GM Nick Byrne expressed his enthusiasm about Jack's signing, saying: "Jack brings with him an obvious football pedigree and skill set, but what's most critical for our club is the person he is.
"His values align with ours, and his local roots—growing up and playing football in our region—are vital for us.
"This signing marks a key step forward in our mission for success, keeping our identity and community front and centre."
Bytel has played 29 AFL games across the past six seasons.
