Bailey Scott has inked a new deal with North Melbourne, turning his back on potential interest come this year's trade period.
Scott enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2022, averaging 18 disposals per game, and playing 18 games for the season.
The 22-year-old was linked with a move out of Arden Street this year, with a shift to Geelong, another former club of his father Robert's, heavily speculated.
North Melbourne’s list and recruiting manager Brady Rawlings said it was great to see the young Roo recommit to the club.
“We are really pleased to have Bailey commit to our club,” Rawlings said.
“There has obviously been a lot of external discussion around Bailey’s future. Bailey is passionate about the North Melbourne Football Club and has a lot of confidence in where we are headed.
“As a club, we are invested in Bailey, he’s an important player to us and his recent accolades speak for themselves.
“It’s a great outcome for all involved.”
Scott finished in third place in North Melbourne's best and fairest count, with Jy Simpkin claiming the win.
