The Hawks' star small-forward has surpassed the Demon' Clayton Oliver to snag MVP of the Month for July - the first of any small-forward to win an MVP of the Month award following its 2017 inception.

Breust's 24.7 percent of the playersโ€™ vote eclipsed Oliverย by just 1.1 percent, boastingย 15 goals while averaging 17 disposals and four tackles.

Beust will be among the likes ofย Steele Sidebottom, Jack Darling and Shaun Higgins as MVP of the Month winners, with his prowess on the field to be celebrated.

1982 AFLPA MVP winner Leigh Matthews commended the 27-year-old as having had his best season so far.

โ€œHe took his game to new heights in July, kicking 15 goals in four games to help Hawthornโ€™s push towards September.โ€

Also nominated wereย Andrew Gaff, Dyson Heppell and last yearโ€™s Leigh Matthews Trophy winner Dustin Martin, with fellow teammate Max Gawn rounding out top three.
