Fremantle discard Michael Barlow says he has received some strong interest from a number of rival clubs, following his delisting from the Dockers.
Barlow was not offered a new contract for 2017, after 126 games in seven seasons with Fremantle.
The 28-year-old said he knew his time at the club could be up after some strong performances in the middle of the season did not result in a contract offer.
"I felt my form was always really strong, and in particular when I came back from my stint in the WAFL, I had a really good six or seven week period," Barlow said on radio station, 6PR.
"If Brad Lloyd, our list manager, doesn't contact your manager after some of the performances I put in … I think the writing was on the wall for me.
"I've been prepared for this for quite some time. I'm really respectful of the decision but I didn't walk into my meeting yesterday with any hope of a contract offer."
Barlow, who played 13 games this season, said he believes he will continue his career at another next season.
"Marty Pask, my manager, has had some really constructive approaches over the past little period. There's some good strong interest, which is really pleasing," he said.
