Ben Cousins is set to put the boots back on in shock return after 11 years away from footy, with The West Australian reporting Cousins will play in the Metro Football League in Perth.

Attempting to get his life back on track, the 42-year old Brownlow medalist has joined the Division 1 Queens Park Bulldogs.

Cousins wasn't necessarily missed as Queens Park demolished Kelmscott 18.14-122 to 5.8-38. After a tight opening term, the floodgates opened with the thumping win rocketing the Bulldogs atop of the Division 1 ladder with a monster percentage of 321.05%.

The Bulldogs second round clash looks to be a similar story, as they host a Murdoch University side that looks to bounce back after being on the receiving end of a 114 point drubbing at the hands of the Brighton Seahawks.

Cousin's life spiralled out of control post footy with multiple drug related arrests, - most recently being released from jail after intimidating the mother of his two children.

The former star midfielder was also seen at Friday night's clash between West Coast and Collingwood and was reported to be looking healthy and well as he posed for photos with fans.

There are hopes that Cousins will play north of six games for Queens Park this year, currently recovering from a minor ankle injury.
