Ben King has seemingly dismissed speculation linking him to move back home, revealing he is "settled" at the Gold Coast Suns after their win over Richmond on Sunday.
The Suns' Round 7 win moves them to a 3-4 record for the season, with King making his return from an ACL injury in Round 1 after missing the entirety of the 2022 season.
King has been linked with a move to St Kilda to join twin brother Max, but speaking on SEN Breakfast admitted he was loving his time in Queensland.
“Yeah, definitely, I'm very settled up here now,” King replied on SEN Breakfast.
“I bought a house up here and my girlfriend has moved up.
“I love everyone at the football club. So, yeah, I'm definitely really settled up here and I know a lot of the other boys are in the same boat.”
Gold Coast claimed the 24-point win over the 16th placed Tigers on Sunday, with King kicking four majors of his own to help his side over the line.
“I think it shows good maturity to be able to grind the game out like that,” King said.
“We came together pretty early in the game and said, ‘This is going to be a scrappy one, so we just have to grind it out and stick to the plan'.
“It was pretty cool to see us get that done.”
With finals still on the agenda this season, King admitted that he thought the Suns were "capable of anything", despite never having featured in September action in their history.
“Yeah, I definitely think we're capable of anything,” King said.
“They're long years, there's a lot of football to be played.
“We made some fumbles in the early games, but I feel like the last two weeks we've showed what we're capable of.
“We'll look to just keep building on that and, yeah, try not to think too far ahead into the future.
“Hopefully we can keep winning.”
King's current deal sees him committed to the Suns until at least the end of 2024.
Gold Coast's season continues with a Round 8 clash against Melbourne at Heritage Bank Stadium on Saturday, May 6.
