Former Carlton and Adelaide forward Eddie Betts will pull on the boots for Murray Football League club Rumbalara on Saturday.
The Shepparton-based side, who are a proud Aboriginal-led local club, will have their winless season brightened by the presence of the 640-goal great.
Rumbalara confirmed ahead of their clash with Deniliquin that Betts will feature in the Round 4 match of the MFL.
“Yes it’s true! Join us at Mercury drive this Saturday for all the excitement and to give Eddie and family a deadly Rumba welcome,” a club social media post reads.
The 35-year-old has already been a presence at the local level after calling time on his 350-game AFL career in August, having featured for the Palmerston Magpies in the Northern Territory Football League late last year.

Betts is also set to feature in the inaugural Carlton Draft, which will see eight ex-AFL champions play for a local club in 2022.
Joining the former Carlton goalsneak will be Shaun Burgoyne, Alex Rance, Nathan Jones, Brendon Goddard, Jarryd Roughead, Cameron Mooney and Dale Thomas, with eight clubs set to draft for their services on Wednesday.
Campbells Creek, Nhill & District, North Wangaratta, Portarlington, Dalyston, Branxholme Wallacedale, Longwood and Gormandale Football Netball Club will all take part in the draft.
Betts will be able to give those clubs further insight into his post-career abilities when he features at Rumbalara Recreation Reserve at 2pm on Saturday.
The Port Lincoln product has also taken on a development coaching role with Geelong and has joined Fox Footy's broadcast team in 2022.
