The Crows defender is having a sensational year and played a ripper of a game in Adelaide’s 15-point win over the Cats last Thursday night with 43 disposals at a very impressive 86% disposal efficiency.
Full Back: Michael Hurley (Essendon)
The versatile Hurley was one of the Bombers’ best players on Saturday night in their 44-point win over the Gold Coast. Hurley racked up 24 disposals and also took 10 marks and was superb all night.
Back Pocket: Shannon Hurn (West Coast)
The West Coast skipper was integral in the Eagles ending the Pies' seven game winning streak on Sunday. The big defender finished with 25 disposals and took 11 marks.
Half Back: Jeremy Howe (Collingwood)
The high-flying Pie was one of the Pies' best in a disappointing day on Sunday when the Magpies went down the Eagles by 35 points. Howe finished with 24 disposals and took 11 marks and tried his best all day.
Centre Half Back: Jeremy McGovern (West Coast)
The star defender relished spending more time in the backline with a superb performance in their 35-point win over the Pies on Sunday. McGovern finished with 22 disposals and 12 marks and his intercept marks and spoils were exceptional.
Half Back: Luke Ryan (Fremantle)
The young Docker played one of his career best games and was a big part in the Dockers' upset nine point win over the Power on Sunday afternoon. Ryan finished with 28 touches at 86% disposal efficiency and took seven marks.
Wing: Jack Steven (St Kilda)
The Saints midfielder was the best player on the ground in their 64-point win over the Blues last Friday night. Steven finished with 33 disposals, kicked two goals and also took eight marks.
Centre: Angus Brayshaw (Melbourne)
Brayshaw continued his red-hot form with another brilliant game for the Dees on Saturday. The young gun finished with a game-high 38 disposals, six clearances and five inside 50’s and six marks in their 50 point win over the Dogs.
Wing: Andrew Gaff (West Coast)
Gaff is a real chance to win this year’s West Coast best and fairest and the pacey wingman was again terrific on Sunday in the Eagles 35 point win over the Pies at the MCG. Gaff finished with 30 disposals and took five marks and provided plenty of run all day.
Ruck: Max Gawn (Melbourne)
Gawn is fast becoming one of the best players in the competition and is a dark-horse to win his first ever Brownlow Medal this year. The star ruckman finished with 17 disposals, seven marks and 41 hit outs in the Demons' big 50-point win over the Dogs on Saturday.
Rover: Zach Merrett (Essendon)
The gun midfielder was one of Essendon’s best in their 44-point victory over the Suns on Saturday night. Merrett finished with 37 disposals.
Ruck Rover: Dayne Beams (Brisbane)
The former Lions skipper was instrumental in their surprise 33-point victory over the Hawks in Tasmania on Saturday. Beams finished with 33 disposals, seven marks and eight inside 50’s.
Half Forward: Jack Ziebell (Kangaroos)
The move to Ziebell up forward has proved to be a great one by Roos coach Brad Scott and Ziebell kicked five goals and had 22 disposals and combined well with Ben Brown by combining for nine goals between the two of them.
Centre Half Forward: Lance Franklin (Sydney)
Franklin was terrific for the Swans and combined well with Ronke up forward, kicking eight goals between them in their six point win over the Roos. ‘Buddy’ finished with three goals and 19 disposals and was back to his best.
Half Forward: Tom Lynch (Adelaide)
Lynch was best on ground in Adelaide’s gutsy 15-point victory over the Cats on Thursday night. The running machine finished with four goals and also had a game high 11 score involvements and 22 disposals and showed why the Crows are a different side with Lynch at his best.
Forward Pocket: Ben Ronke (Sydney)
Ronke is having a fantastic first year at the Swans and this continued on Sunday by playing a big part in their thrilling six-point win over the Roos. Ronke finished with five goals and 16 disposals and was a live-wire up forward for Sydney.
Full Forward: Patrick Dangerfield (Geelong)
The 2016 Brownlow Medallist was superb for the Cats in their 15-point loss to his former side the Adelaide Crows on Thursday night. ‘Danger’ finished with 33 disposals, five marks, laid ten tackles and kicked 3.3.
Forward Pocket: Jesse Hogan (Melbourne)
Hogan was integral in the Dees' big win over the Western Bulldogs on Saturday. The Western Australian finished with four goals, 18 disposals and nine marks to be high amongst the best players in their 50 point win over the Dogs.
Bench: Jaeger O’Meara (Hawthorn)
The former Gold Coast star played one of his best games as a Hawk on Saturday in an otherwise disappointing day for his team who went down to the Lions by 33 points. O’Meara kicked four goals and finished with 27 disposals and also laid eight tackles.
Bench: Patrick Cripps (Carlton)
The young star midfielder was one of the few shining lights in a disappointing 64-point loss to the Saints on Friday night. Cripps finished with 35 disposals, 23 of those were contested and also an impressive disposal efficiency of 86%.
Bench: Callan Ward (GWS)
The Giants skipper was instrumental in helping his team to a two-point win over the Tigers on Saturday night. Ward finished with 32 disposals, 19 of those being contested and also had ten clearances and six inside 50’s.
Bench: Rory Sloane (Adelaide)
Sloane celebrated his five-year contract extension during the week with a brilliant game in the Crows 15-point win over the Cats last Thursday night. Sloane finished with 27 disposals, seven tackles, eight clearances and nine inside 50’s.
