Breakout Fremantle forward Josh Treacy has added a further four years onto his current contract to be locked in with the Dockers until the end of the 2030 season.

Treacy inked a three-year deal 13 months ago amid a season of promise for the emerging tall forward, with 2024 proving to be his best season yet in purple.

The Cohuna product has kicked 42 goals from his 19 games at AFL level this year to sit sixth in the Coleman Medal race, with Treacy playing a key role in Fremantle's rise back into premiership contention in 2024.

The Dockers have moved to lock up the in-form forward for the long haul, with both parties agreeing to a new extension that will take Treacy's ties to the Western Australian club into the next decade.

"I can happily say that I've extended on until 2030,โ€ Treacy said in a club announcement.

"The offer was there to hang on for a bit longer, and look, it was clearly a no-brainer with the situation the Club is in and the way that I feel it is going to go.

"I feel like it's a little bit of giving back to the Club after what they gave me a few years ago in an opportunity (to play AFL football),โ€ Treacy said.

"I feel like I can do my best to help repay - not only the Club - but the fans and everyone involved."

Treacy's new deal sees the Dockers' tall forward trio all signed for the coming five years at least, with teammates Luke Jackson and Jye Amiss also penned to deals until the end of 2029.

Fremantle also has ruckman Sean Darcy and defender Brennan Cox locked in until 2030, with the club's key position stocks all settled for an extensive period at Cockburn.

Treacy spoke on the club's current purple patch and the excitement for what's to come, both this year and beyond.

"Clearly we're in an exciting position as a Club, and we're obviously wary of that, but at the same time, we need to chip away one week at a time," Treacy said.

"We've got a really big month ahead of us and hopefully we can go further, but if we can chip away a week at a time over the next few weeks and really put ourselves in a strong position to hopefully finish off the back half of the year."

Treacy and the Dockers head to the MCG this Sunday to face the Bombers, with a win over Essendon potentially seeing Justin Longmuir's side sit in second on the ladder by the end of the weekend.
