Carlton may lose West Australian duo in the upcoming trade period, with Jack Carroll and Jack Martin likely to request trades.

Both players are out of contract at the end of the year.

According to Sen WA's Peter Vlahos, there is a belief Carroll will seek a move home to Western Australia.

The youngster has played 15 games for Carlton in 2024, making a name for himself though unable to maintain a spot when the list is healthy or even approach majority midfield minutes.

โ€œCarlton's Jack Carroll is possibly looking to head home or to another club. He played at East Fremantle and was a great product in the WAFL Colts,โ€ Vlahos toldย SEN's Sportsday WA.

โ€œHe looks like he wants to get out of Carlton and could request a trade.โ€

Martin is also believed to be considering a departure from the Navy Blues, the 29-year-old has only playing three games this year, troubled by consistent soft-tissue concerns. The forward has played 151 games for Carlton and Gold Coast.

The former Sun is believed to be generating interest from Fremantle and Queensland teams.

โ€œI believe that Jack Martin is now looking to return to Perth,โ€ he added.

โ€œClubs are circling him amid a salary cap juggle at Carlton. Martin is at the end of a five-year deal and has a few clubs after him, the non-Victorian team is Fremantle.

โ€œHis partner is from Queensland, so there is the option that he could return to where he started his AFL career at the Suns or maybe even Brisbane.

โ€œBut it looks like his career at Carlton is done and dusted. Freo has been into Jack since as early as last year, I believe.โ€
