Carlton last year snared four GWS youngsters, in Liam Sumner, Jed Lamb, Lachie Plowman and Andrew Phillips, while defender Caleb Marchbank officially requested a trade to the Blues on Friday.
Now, Carlton has its eyes on yet another Greater Western Sydney young gun, this time, key forward James Stewart, according to the Herald Sun.
The highly rated young forward, recruited with pick 27 in the 2012 National Draft, has managed just 18 games in four years with the Giants, due to the likes of Jon Patton, Jeremy Cameron and Rory Lobb occupying the key position spots in the forward line.
Stewart is the son of former Collingwood and Richmond player, Craig Stewart, who played 150 games and kicked 124 goals between 1978 and 1986.
The Magpies are also said to be interested in acquiring the 22-year-old, who has kicked 18 goals in four seasons.
GWS will have its hands full once again this trade period, with Caleb Marchbank, Jack Steele and Will Hoskin-Elliott all set to seek fresh starts.
