With the external review into Carlton's football department understood to be complete, the club are set to receive the findings by the end of this week, meaning coach David Teague's fate could be decided in the coming days, according to The Age

Teague's future at Ikon Park has been a key part of discussion since the review was announced in early June, with a poor run of form only adding to the mounted pressure.

Now facing a minuscule chance to make finals following defeats to the Kangaroos and Suns over the past three weeks, many believe Teague's tenure with Carlton is at an end.

The 50-game Blue is currently contracted to the club until the end of next season, but a busy coaching market is set to gauge the attention of the Carlton board.

Alastair Clarkson's premature exit from Hawthorn is likely to have placed the Blues as an interested suitor in the four-time premiership coach, with Collingwood also tipped to chase his services.

Add in the list of former AFL coaches in Brad Scott, Michael Voss, Ross Lyon Don Pyke and Mark Williams understood to be in contention for a potential vacancy, and the Blues won't be short on options should they part ways with Teague.

The club's external review is also set to shed pressure on Carlton's football boss Brad Lloyd, while assistant coach John Barker has already parted ways with the Blues.

The impending changes will follow the appointment of president Luke Sayers, who is set to take over the position from the departing Mark LoGiudice.

According to The Age, an official announcement on the club's findings from the review aren't to be made public until after the home and away season.
