The West Coast Eagles and Carlton are expected to participate in a pick swap that would see Carlton's Pick 12 and 14 head to West Coast in exchange for their Pick 3.
But according to AFL media's Callum Twomey, out-of-favour Blues forward Matt Owies could see himself heading West as part of this deal as well.
This would now see Carlton send Picks 12 and 14, along with Owies, to the Eagles, who would then be on track to acquire Liam Baker from the Tigers with their newly gained Pick 14.
Expecting this to be made official on Tuesday, with Carlton set to land pick No.3, the Eagles to split their pick and on trade 14 to Richmond for Baker. Other parts, such as Matt Owies and more picks, expected to be involved. https://t.co/o246q5f0am

Many Eagles fans find themselves displeased at the thought of giving up their prized Pick 3 to gain Baker, Owies and Pick 12 given the nature of what some are calling a "superdraft".
The out of contract Baker nominated West Coast as his preferred destination, looking to find his way back home to WA as the Tigers enter what could be a tough period for the club.
The 26-year-old has speed off half-back alongside two premierships to his name, but most importantly will provide a severely inexperienced Eagles outfit with some much needed leadership.
Owies managed to kick 33 goals for the Blues in 2024 and to the surprise of many, found himself without a contract at the end of the season. With the departure of Jack Darling, Owies will hope to alleviate some of the goal kicking pressure off their newfound star in Jake Waterman.
The Blues would go on to use Pick 3 in what is touted to be a highly coveted draft.
Carlton may have their eyes on young prospect Finn O'Sullivan out of the Oakleigh Chargers.
The 183cm midfielder is expected to be a top 5 pick and has a direct link (cousin) to superstar mid Sam Walsh.
