The MRO has laid two charges from Sunday's action, with Bomber Sam Durham handed a one-match suspension.

Durham was charged with rough conduct after his third term tackle on Cat Mark Blicavs, with the MRO grading the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

The one-match ban, which has been accepted by the Bombers and Durham, will see the 21-year-old miss Essendon's Round 8 clash against Port Adelaide on Sunday.

Durham becomes the latest player to be suspended after making a dangerous tackle this year, with Fremantle's Matthew Johnson hit with a two-week suspension for his tackle on Lion Dayne Zorko on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Magpie Tom Mitchell has been charged with attempting to trip Adelaide's Brodie Smith, handed a $1500 financial sanction, down to $1000 with an early fee.
