Rival clubs circling Essendon star Adam Saad, per report

Adam Saad is no guarantee to re-sign at Essendon, according to AFL Media reporter Callum Twomey.

Twomey reports rival clubs believes it’s possible to pry the defender away from Tullamarine.

Saad is right in All-Australian contention, averaging a career-high 18.8 disposals and having a hand in 1.9 scores per game, ranking second among defenders behind Geelong's Mark Blicavs.

Bombers need to make sure they re-sign Adam Saad, would be a huge loss in an already really bad year, lets re-load and assess what is needed to climb up the ladder, go Bombers.

The gun defender is out of contract at season’s end.

“Earlier in the year, he had started and opened talks for a new deal. It was upwards of four years before the COVID-19 contract freeze hit the competition. Things have stalled since then,” Twomey said on AFL Media. 

“I know that other clubs are looking at this situation very, very closely now and think there’s a chance that they can get Saad out of the Bombers.

“Every club in Victoria would want him, so there’s a big watch on Adam Saad.”
