Essendon could be set for a major squad overhaul at the end of the season, with a number of players weighing up their futures at the Bombers.

Club legend Matthew Lloyd said on the Sunday Footy Show, that Orazio Fantasia, Adam Saad and Joe Daniher are likely to request moves away from the Bombers over the coming weeks, while Shaun McKernan has already been told that he will not be offered a new deal.

Fellow Sunday Footy Show member Damian Barrett also believes veterans Michael Hurley and Cale Hooker could be on the way out at seasons end.

“Those three players that Lloydy just mentioned, I don’t see being Bombers in 2021,” Barrett said on Channel 9’s Sunday Footy Show.

“I actually feel from what I’ve been hearing, there’s some doubt around Cale Hooker about what he does. He’s contracted.

“He (Hooker) hasn’t been able to get into the team lately and it’s fair to say he’s not happy and there might be a revisiting of his situation. Michael Hurley, I think is also not as happy as he has once been at Essendon. There’s a lot to play out."

Hurley played 13 games this season, while Hooker only managed eight games.
