Essendon has reportedly made an addition to its football department in preparation for next season, poaching a former St Kilda executive.
David Rath is understood to be on his way to the Hangar to take on an undisclosed role in the Bombers' football department.
According toย AFL Media journalist Cal Twomey on Friday morning, Rath's introduction at Essendon is the latest in a Bombers football department remodelling.

Essendon's latest addition was previously the Saints' head of football, and also formerly held roles at the AFL and Hawthorn.
Rath departed the Moorabbin ranks in March this year, accepting a role with Rugby Australia.
"I've loved my time at the Saints and it is definitely bittersweet to be leaving," Rath said upon his departure in March. "But this is an incredible opportunity for my family and I, and one we couldn't turn down."
Rath's Essendon move has not yet been officially confirmed by Essendon, though it appears the latest in a line of recent moves regarding the Bombers' football department structure.
In September, Essendon announced the appointment of Matt Rosa to the position of AFL Talent & Operations Manager, simultaneously revealing the club's General Manager of List and Recruiting, Adrian Dodoro, had made the decision to take a step back from his current senior role following this year's National Draft.
