Gold Coast defender Adam Saad has officially completed his move to Essendon.
In exchange for Saad, the Bombers have traded a future second round draft pick to the Suns.
The 23-year-old requested a trade to Victoria from the Suns earlier this month due to religious and family reasons.
“It’s really exciting and humbling to finally be on Essendon’s list, I’m really grateful for the opportunity they have given me,” Saad said.
“As soon as I spoke to Essendon, I felt at home straight away.
“I’m really excited to be a part of such a great culture and club, and I’m excited by the list and what we’re striving to do.
“I’m looking forward to coming in and earning the respect of my teammates, the coaches and everyone at the club, and trying to improve every day.”
Saad has played 48 games in three seasons with the Gold Coast Suns, after being recruited via the 2014 Rookie Draft.
