Carlton vice-captain Bryce Gibbs wants to head home to the Crows.
Crows' list manager Just Reid told AFL Trade Radio on Monday afternoon that Gibbs has informed both Carlton and Adelaide of his desire to return home to South Australia if a trade can be orchestrated between the two clubs.
“Bryce and his management have spoken to the Adelaide Football Club and he’s got a strong desire to come home," Reid said.
“We also respect that he’s a Carlton football player and he’s contracted, so we’ll leave it at that for the meantime.
“We’ll have discussions behind-the-scenes and work through it.
“It’s early days – he’s a contracted player so probably don’t want to get too much into it right now."
Gibbs is currently contracted to the Blues until 2019.
